Description
Two works by British Pre-Raphaelite artist Edward Robert Hughes, the front is “The Valkyrie’s Vigil” and the back is “Dream Idyll” .
In “The Valkyrie’s Vigil”, the image of the Valkyrie often appears in the works of different painters, but in Edward Robert Hughes’s pen, he gave her the most gentle color. She took off her battle robe and sat gently on the city wall with a gentle look; the moonlight shone from behind her, bathing her body in a halo, and only the helmet in her arms and the long sword in her hand showed her identity as a Valkyrie. Perhaps Aihua wanted to put aside all the established impressions and conclusions about this goddess and show her gentle, quiet and unknown side.
“Dream Idyll ” is an otherworldly female figure painting in which a young woman grasps the black wings of a Pegasus against an indigo sky, riding the beast at high speed and looking down at a city built along a river in miniature for miles.
